“We enjoyed our stay at this very interesting loft apartment converted from a traditional Slovenian hayrack. Hostess was outstanding, providing delicious strudel and schnaps. The road to the apartment ran through a beautiful field of wildflowers and provided great views of the Slovenian Alps.”

“Sitting on the bench behind the cabin as the sun came up, with fresh coffee from the wood-fired stove. We were welcomed with a jar of homemade jam the children still talk about.”

Before you decide

Four things worth knowing

  1. The hayrack room's bathroom is in the house

The bathroom is yours alone, but you reach it down the stairs and across the yard. There is no running water and no hob in the room.

  2. Stairs

Wooden stairs lead up to the hayrack room. In the log cabin the bedrooms are upstairs, up a steep staircase. The apartment is all on the ground floor.

  3. You will want a car

You drive to the lake, the shops and the trailheads. The nearest shop is 3 km from Jereka and 12 km from Goreljek. There is a bus stop 200 m from the house in Jereka.

  4. The room is open in summer only

The hayrack room is open from May to the end of September. The apartment and the log cabin are open all year.
